Hi all,
In the off chance that anyone is reading this we would love to inform you of our fun trip this weekend to relax in Lake Jackson with my parents and attend the mission homecoming of a good friend of mine, complete with pictures to back it up. However, we are currently experiencing technical difficulties and won't be doing that. Sorry.
Translation: Our camera is broken and we know photos are better than text so we won't bore you without photos to back it up. Looks like our blogging careers are off to a rough start.

Let's play Guess That Date!
So Chad and I planned a fun date for last weekend.
Let's see if you can guess what it was!

That's right! We went backpacking for the first time since we moved to
Texas! It was a great date on Lake Georgetown, a small reservoir near
Austin.
We did a hearty 4.5 miles after work on Friday night to our campsite. There we had a
"delicious" freeze-dried lasagna dinner, followed by star gazing (you
can't really see the stars in town).
In the morning I may have burnt my
hand by deliberately not following the cooking directions for our dehydrated eggs but we don't have to talk about that. Then it was just a brisk 4.5 miles back to the car!
We loved every minute, and despite the
constant threat of rain, were not sprinkled on a bit!
Chad was also "sad" for some since for some since-forgotten reason. Check out that beard!
